& Billing FAQ

Clear answers about your membership, account details, Community and education access, and payments for signing services.

Billing & payments

Why am I being billed monthly?

A paid base membership is a monthly subscription. Your enrollment confirmation and accepted subscription terms show your membership and renewal amount. Optional Signature Partner and Legacy by Signature Signings business services are separate purchases with their own billing terms.

Where can I confirm my membership and charge?

Check the receipt and enrollment confirmation sent to the email you used to subscribe. If the plan name, amount or email looks unfamiliar, contact our team so we can review the subscription and payment record with you.

What should I do if my payment fails?

Use the secure payment link provided for your existing subscription, or contact our team for help finding it. Updating a card does not by itself confirm that an outstanding invoice has been paid. If a payment is processing or you have already paid, check its status before trying again. Do not purchase another membership to resolve a payment issue.

What if I do not recognize a charge?

Contact us with the charge date, amount and email addresses you may have used to enroll. We will help locate the relevant records. Do not send full card numbers, security codes or passwords by email, text or web chat.

How do I report possible duplicate billing?

Send our team the charge dates, amounts and enrollment email addresses, and tell us that you are reporting possible duplicate billing. We will review the subscriptions and payment records. Please do not create another paid account while the issue is being reviewed.

Can I request a refund for a previous billing period?

Contact our team with the charge date, amount, enrollment email and reason for the request. We will review the circumstances and the agreement applicable to your purchase. Suspected unauthorized charges, duplicate billing and unavailable purchased benefits should be reported for review. A request is not a refund confirmation.

What if I forgot to request a downgrade?

Contact our team as soon as possible to request a change and confirm its effective date. Any question about earlier charges must be reviewed under the agreement applicable to your purchase. Keep the confirmation of your membership change.

Is the Pro processing fee separate from my membership?

Yes. Signature Signer Pro has only a $15 processing fee for qualifying direct out-of-network opportunities. It is separate from your recurring base-membership charge and from fees for optional business services. Opportunity features remain subject to applicable qualifications and assignment eligibility.

Membership changes & account review

How do I upgrade or downgrade my membership?

Contact our team by phone, text, email or website chat. Tell us your enrollment email, current plan and requested membership level. We will help you review the amount due, recurring price, effective date and benefits affected before you authorize a change. Do not buy another base membership to change your level.

How do I downgrade to Signature Listed?

Ask our team to downgrade your paid base membership to Signature Listed and confirm when paid renewals and benefits will end. Signature Listed is the free membership level for an eligible notary profile. Your profile, onboarding information, qualifications and account history are preserved. Separately purchased business services keep their own agreements.

What should I confirm before changing plans?

Ask for the amount due now, the new recurring amount, the next billing date, the effective date and the benefits you will gain or lose. Keep the confirmation. A payment confirmation alone does not confirm that new access is active.

Can I have more than one base membership?

One base membership is intended for each member. Change your existing membership instead of purchasing a second base subscription. Signature Partner and Legacy by Signature Signings are optional business services and are separate from the base membership.

What if I registered using more than one email address?

Give our team all email addresses you may have used. Your billing and community records may be under different emails, so we may need to reconcile them. Do not create another paid membership to fix an access problem.

Why is my account request being reviewed?

An email address, phone number or similar name may match an existing account. Our team reviews these matches to help prevent duplicate accounts and overlapping charges. A match does not automatically prove that two records belong to the same person. Contact us with your enrollment email and tell us your request needs account review. We will explain what information or correction is needed.

What happens to an existing legacy rate?

Your existing authorized legacy rate follows the agreement applicable to that subscription. Before requesting a plan change or reinstatement, ask our team to confirm the available rate and terms. Do not assume that a former rate will automatically be restored after changing plans.

Community, education & onboarding

Which memberships include Community and Education Center access?

Signature Listed includes neither Community nor Education Center access. Signature Signer includes Community access. Signature Signer Plus and Signature Signer Pro include both Community and Education Center access, including the training provided with the membership. Authorized legacy $7 memberships include both while eligible and paid.

What resources will I lose if I downgrade?

A change from Plus or Pro to Signer removes Education Center access while keeping Community access. A change to Listed removes both paid Community and Education Center access. Moving from Pro to Plus retains Community and Education Center access but removes Pro-specific opportunity features. Review the confirmed effective date with our team before authorizing the change.

I paid, but my resources are unavailable. What should I do?

Contact our team with your receipt and the email used for billing and Community login. Payment and access are verified separately. Do not pay again or purchase another membership to resolve an access issue. Paid access is restricted while payment recovery is pending.

How do I access the vetting quiz or follow up on onboarding?

Use the vetting and onboarding link on the Partners website. If an email has not arrived, check spam and the mailbox used at enrollment. Contact us with that email and any alternate registration emails if you still need help. Membership, quiz completion, credential verification, title and escrow approval, and assignment eligibility are separate.

Does membership guarantee signing assignments or income?

No. Opportunities depend on client demand, location, availability, qualifications and applicable assignment requirements. Membership does not guarantee assignments, leads, income or profit.

How can I contact the Signature Signings team?

Call or text (888) 200-9420, email [email protected], or use the chat on our Partners website. Include your enrollment email and a short description of the issue. We will respond as soon as possible. Automated receipt messages from [email protected] are not monitored; send support requests to [email protected].

Signing Service FAQs

This section concerns money owed to notaries for signing services. It is separate from membership and subscription billing.

These revised payment rules apply to future assignments accepted after you accept the revised Independent Contractor Platform Agreement. Previously accepted assignments retain their original applicable terms. Review the agreement and order confirmation applicable to your assignment.

When will I be paid for a completed signing?

For a properly completed signing, payment is due 45 calendar days after the signing date or 14 calendar days after Signature Signings receives your direct-deposit or Zelle payment details, whichever is later. We aim to pay sooner. Payment for completed work does not depend on the transaction closing or our client paying Signature Signings. If applicable law requires an earlier payment deadline, that deadline controls.

Where can I see the fee I will receive?

Your order offer and assignment confirmation should state the exact net amount you will receive after any applicable processing fee. Review the amount before accepting, and keep your confirmation. If the amount or a fee is unclear, contact Orders support before accepting the assignment.

How do I submit payment details?

If you have not already supplied your payment details, use the payment setup page below and select direct deposit or Zelle. Use the contact information associated with your signing account. Do not send account or routing numbers through ordinary email, text or web chat.

Will I receive a printing fee if an appointment is canceled or unsuccessful?

An eligible $10 printing fee is payable only when you confirmed the appointment with the signer before printing and actually printed the documents. No printing fee is payable if the signing fails because of an issue you should have caught during confirmation.

What if I have already started traveling?

An additional $20 time-and-travel fee is payable when the appointment is canceled after you start traveling, subject to the confirmation requirements. If the $10 printing fee is also eligible, the combined fees are $30.

What if I arrive but the signing cannot be completed?

If problems with the documents prevent completion, the $20 time-and-travel fee and eligible $10 printing fee are payable. The same fees apply when you properly confirmed the appointment and the problem could not reasonably have been discovered during confirmation.

What should I confirm with the signer before printing?

Confirm the appointment with the signer before printing. Ask about government-issued photo identification acceptable under applicable state law, its validity for the intended notarization, the name on the documents and whether the photograph matches the signer. Screen for disclosed concerns about the signer’s awareness and ability to understand the nature of the signing, and confirm that you can communicate directly in a shared language. These advance questions do not replace final identification and other required checks at the appointment; applicable state notary law controls.

When are printing and travel fees not payable?

If the signing fails because of an issue you should have caught during confirmation, no printing or time-and-travel fee is payable. Pre-appointment screening and final notarial checks must follow applicable state law.

When are eligible printing and travel fees paid?

When your payment details are already on file, eligible fees are due within 14 calendar days of the canceled or unsuccessful appointment date. If you have not provided payment details, payment is due within 14 calendar days after those details are received.

When can I ask about a payment?

For routine payment-status requests about completed signings, please allow 30 days after the signing. You may report an incorrect amount, returned payment or problem submitting payment details sooner. The 30-day request does not extend the separate 14-day deadline for eligible printing and time-and-travel fees.

Who handles signing-payment inquiries?

Contact Orders support at [email protected] or 1-234-400-NTRY (6879). Include your name, order number, signing date, the email associated with the assignment and a brief description of the issue. Membership and subscription billing questions go to [email protected] or (888) 200-9420.

What if the transaction never closes or the client does not pay?

For a properly completed signing, Signature Signings remains responsible for the agreed payment under the stated payment deadline. A canceled or unsuccessful appointment is handled under the printing and time-and-travel rules described above.

Do these revised terms change past assignments?

Revised terms apply to future assignments accepted after you accept the revised agreement. Previously accepted assignments retain their original applicable terms. Review the agreement and order confirmation applicable to your assignment.
